Something told me it was going to be one of those bitter cold mornings when I knew I had to go outside and work on those little projects that I could not put until it warmed up–say in late spring. I awoke and found my nose, which was the only part of my body that was not covered up, cold as a ice cube. The furnace was cranked and humming away like normal but I had left my bedroom door closed and forgot that my bedroom gets poor air circulation. It took nerves of steel to summons my body to get from underneath the covers and force my wool socks on over my feet. Then there was the dash to the door which when my feet touched the floor I could feel the cold that forced me to tip-toe across the room. Dreadful I tell you! Once the door was opened I could feel the nice warm air rushing in and the cold cold air flowing down to the floor. Mental note: do not leave the door closed again!
I am sort of getting worried that the Post Office has not updated their web service or they have in fact not sent any of my parcels out to their destinations. Next week will be only a 4 day week and if those parcels are not on there way soon, I fear that they will be late. So for those of you for whom are waiting for gifts from me this year–it will be close. the Postal web-tracking system says that they are still sitting at the distribution depot in Vancouver.
