A Little Bit of a Celebration

I just looked at my grades from the summer semester and found to my delight that I scored A’s in all of my courses. I had doubts that I would achieve this because I did run into one assignment in my Young Offenders class when I completely did a paper in less than 4 hours before class, and suffered a humiliating low grade because of my lack of preparation of it. It was either that or suffer a loss of a high mark in a critical presentation, worth 25 percent, that I had to do the day before. The gamble paid off however and I managed to recover the rest of the course without too much of a loss.

Just to be fair to myself, I thought I might have only had a high mark of A+ and a low of B, but to achieve A’s in every course is very nice. Sweet victory! It certainly helps out in the GPA, which is at 3.12 now. That puts a smile on my face.

It was a lot of hard work for me, both mentally and physically. Many long nights and very tired days that I’m sure pissed a few people that I work with off. With two large presentations, four killer papers and one research paper, plus not to mention all the little exams, mini quizzes and assignments to boot, I am happy that this part of the curriculum is now behind me. Oh, but there is more to come. I still have five more of these course left to do….  For now I am happy.
