I am still under the flu’s grip, but not as bad as it was two days ago. I think I have one more day to go before I can say that I am able to function again at a normal speed. This damn flu bug really knocked the stuffing out of me. That last time I was this sick it was around last March, so just over nine months ago. I do not want see any more flu bugs again for at least two years. I think I should build a bubble in live in it.
Because of totally being sick and out of action, I am now three days behind in everything. I have a paper due next week that I have not started on yet. I have some group work that needs to handed in on Monday, and an exam coming up next week also that is worth 20 percent. I have a lot of work to catch up on.
While I was suffering in bed over the last week I could not help but think about the economy and the cost of oil, among other commodities. All (the economys) are going down into Hell in a hand basket. I was thinking back when I made the remark about all those people who bought SUVs, and how the huge cost of gas was going to make them park their gas guzzling vehicles in their driveways while they run around on mini-motor cycles, so now I am eating my words. I guess I was wrong. In fact, I am seeing more SUVs on roads than ever before. While gasoline is now dropping, back down to a dollar a litre, the cost of running an SUVs is going back to affordable, again. That is not right.
It is the weirdest thing to see things drop in prices while the “recession” word being said over and over throughout the media. If this is a recession, then bring it on. I guess because I do not own any stocks in the stock markets, or have any debt with any banks, then the bad part about the economy seems to have missed me. It is a great feeling to see cheaper prices in some areas of markets, and a greater feeling know that interest rates really do not effect me.
Well, anyway, I am still not at 100 percent, the flu still lingers. I just thought I post here to let everyone know I am still alive.
