I was just thinking about this stuff today, and how we the consumer might get a 1% of purchases benefit while the merchant gets charged between 2% to 4%. Banks and credit card companies are making a fortune for doing basically nothing of value for society.

They&#039;re constantly just skimming off the top. Parasites is right!  :evil: 

While I&#039;m glad that I don&#039;t have debt, and simply use my credit card as a payment vehicle (paying off the balance each and every month)... far too many people don&#039;t view it or use it that way. That, combined with the unlimited growth paradigm that our economies currently subscribe to, make for a grim future for our society.
