Here are some of the Sixty plus photo I took this morning. The walk was supposed to be a symbolic trip to a place that I rarely go to becuase I am nearing the end-date from which I have to move from my current place, and I figure I may never get back to this spot again. So, I wanted to make sure that this trip I was going to have really great weather and lots of time to do it in. Today was my golden opportunity to go–perfect Sun, time off from work, long weekend.
The place I went to (as I mentioned in my previous post) is called Tavistock Point, which is named after the family that used to own the land on the South West part of the island. Now it is run by the Metro Vancouver Parks, and it is really well maintained–lots of people use it.
I know it is hard to see, but there is a fish in the water. It swam right up to the shore then dashed off like lighting. I say it was about 40cm long.
Could Alice have fallen into this hole? There are hundreds of trees like this on the island. It is hard to tell if an animal lived, or is living in there. I did not check it out–just in case there was one in there.
Oh, by the way, I found a place today. About an Eight minute drive from where I am living now. Technically not Fort Langley, but it is close enough. More details to come!
