And yet another weird day at the land of work, as my day turned weird right from the start. The huge camera looking thing, the screaming guy whose bus was late, the dead muffler on the road, to being a ghost at work. And it is not even Friday yet.
First, the drive into work. Normal start, as usual, but then I seen two guys standing by road, with what looked like to be a huge camera, something from the 1930s. One guy was holding an umbrella over it, while the other was adjusting the front part of it. At first I thought is was photo radar becuase they were right on the side of the road aiming it towards the traffic, at Glover and the Railway Tracks, but then I spotted two tripods on either side of the road, just ahead of them. On top of each tripod were white coloured spheres, about 20cm in diameter. Were they Google, photo Radar, or some weird experiment?
I could not see closely, as there was higher than usual volume of traffic, so I missed what exactly these guys were doing on the side of the road with their huge camera thingy. If anyone knows, I would like to know? It was a weird setup they had.
Second, further on down the road, there was a guy standing in the middle of road, right by the bus stop, freaking out–shouting at the top of his lunges, like he was being tortured. I heard him with my windows up, while driving. I know the bus was late, lots of traffic, and I seen others waiting at the stops along the way from Fort Langley, so perhaps this guy was late for work? All I can say is, “Dude, buy a car if you need to be at work on time.”
Third, there was an abandon muffler on the road, and I almost hit it, or ran over it. When I looked in my rear-view mirror, the little car behind me hit it, and I cold see sparks flying as he drove off to the shoulder of the road. I felt bAnd yet another weird day at the land of work, as my day turned weird right from the start. Whose fault is it?
Last, when I finally got into work, everyone was late, except for me–I was actually early by about ten minutes. And when everyone finally arrived, it was like I was being ignored. Actually, everyone was so busy trying to catch up that they had no time to say “good morning,” but it was weird, like I was a ghost, and they could not hear me. That changed as the day wore on; then it was back to normal with all the chaos and stress until the end of the shift.
So, how can I top this for the week?
Watch, tomorrow, all Hell with break loose, and something really worse than today will happen to top all of this off. There is more to just having the glass half full, or empty, you know? It is about what the glass is full of that matters.
