This means that summer is very near, and spring is almost over. The first rose bud appeared a couple of days ago, and it has finally bloomed, or started to bloom. The flower looks like it needs a couple of more days to go to complete its transformation into a prefect rose flower. I cannot wait, as I have some new ideas for photographing them this year.
In this image I used only natural light. I captured it using my 30mm F2.8 Macro lens (Sony DT 30mm F2.8 Macro SAM) which has this ability to focus on an a object as far away as only 6mm from the lens. I also shot this on my Sony A77. This means that I can get super close with just the normal light and do need no special set up on the camera. The flower is about the size of my thumbnail in this photo.
