The One day of Sun for Thornhill, BC

The people of Thornhill looked up on the last day of the month of July, and saw the bright round orb of the Star called, “the Sun.” and they rejoiced, partying, drinking and eating, until the rains returned the next day. It was glorious. The people of Thornhill once again called out to the great orb, “More, More, More.” Then slithered back to their homes to hide from the rain drops that fell from the sky.

This was pretty much how it felt when the skies opened up, and all one could see was blue, from the West, to the East, and from the North to the South, this was truly what summer was meant to be. When living in the Skeena Valley, sunshine is a rare event, and all stop what they are doing to pay homage to the day that Mother Nature has granted here on the North Coast. To deny one the privilege of these days, is equal to, if not greater than the “act of murder, in the first degree”. 2020 has being even more challenging due to the fact that the season is already being called the “Bummer Summer.”

Yes, Bummer Summer, that people of Thornhill are so tired of it, that bands of people are streaming their way to other lands, away from Thornhil, to places that boast more than five days of Sun per year. Only the strong will stay.
