2008 will probably mark one of the coldest and snowiest years that we have seen in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Although we never broke any records, the cold temperatures and snow never left after each snowfall.

The day was cool and it did rain out just as the parade finished, but nonetheless there was a large turn out. Most of the photos were bad due to the low light conditions. I took most of the images holding the camera above my head.

What can I say--the sudden onset of a late May heatwave made taking good quality images an excuse for a late afternoon walk over to a friend's house. I need more days like this one. I good way to capture the Fort Langley, BC spirit.

This was a short walk along the main street of Fort Langley, BC on October 04, 2009. Even though it was cold, and fall had already started, the trees hardly showed it, accept for the odd tree by the cemetery. This is also the first season in decades without the Abloin Ferry in operation, and the town was fairly busy for a weekend afternoon without that traffic. And this was also the weekend before the Cranberry Festival, October 10, 2009.

Today is October 31, 2009, but it is also Halloween too, but having such a warm and sunny October day is very unusual around these part that taking the camera out was going to happen regardless of an event or a lovely Saturday afternoon. These photos were taken during a two block walk from my home, then over to the main street of Fort Langley.
I’m really proud of the “wagon-wheel and bench in front of the store window” photo. That image turned out very good.
